“ Team LSP was apart of the City Year Service Day @ Charity Rec Center.City Year Greater Philadelphia was proud to be involved in an effort to revitalize Christy Recreation Center located in Southwest Philadelphia. Throughout this inspiring day, City Year helped volunteers in restoring and beautifying this facility, which serves as a valuable community resource. The work performed by volunteers has transformed this center into a brighter, cleaner, and safer place for children to participate in summer camps, after-school programs, and other enrichment activities.

Zoom Team LSP were Dream Leaders for the Day at the Villa Dream Project (featuring Kevin Liles) 10-22-11. Benjamin Franklin High School (500 N. Broad Street) hosted over 40 seasoned professionals from organizations including the NBA and Twitter that came together to provide mentorship and stories of success to over 500 high school students.The professionals acted as Dream Catalysts for the NEXT generation who are committed to Philadelphia.Highlighted participants include:Kevin Liles, former President of Def Jam records who has worked with Jay Z, Ludacris and Kanye West and DMXMayor Michael NutterJe Carr, Business Developer at TwitterLatoya Smith, Personal Finance Editor at Black EnterpriseCharlie Mack, agent for Aphillyated and entertainment mogul credited with discovering Boys II MenLilliahn Johnson, Director of Team Marketing and Business Operations at the NBAMarc Byers, Philly 360 Ambassador
